Sequential Scores Capture Championship Cups
Posting scores of 56, 57, and 58, the teams representing Empire Bank, Jackson Brothers of the South, and Flintco Constructive Solutions won the A, B and C Flights respectively at the inaugural Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Championship Cup Golf Tournament.
Presenting sponsor Ledgestone Country Club in Branson West was the venue as Indian Summer weather set the stage for this new fall classic. Said President and Executive Director Jerald Andrews “When you combine competitive golfers, beautiful weather and one of the premier golf courses in Missouri, you can’t help but have a great tournament. The course was in immaculate shape and presented a real challenge to the golfers.”
Team members for Empire Bank, who won the A Flight after a 15-hole scorecard playoff were, Russ Marquart, Brent Dunn, Jay McIntyre and Jake Holt. Jackson Brothers of the South, B Flight winners, were represented by Nick Branham, Shane King, Neil Messer and Larry Smith. C Flight winners Jim Blose, Bill Gates, Patty Porter and Rob Haik made up the Flintco team.
Entry into the Championship Cup tournament was gained by winning a flight championship in one of the Hall of Fame’s four Celebrity Golf Classics held throughout the state.
